About Tomasz Kolodziejak
Tomasz works on innovative products at Samsung Research America in Silicon Valley (Mountain View office for Samsung Electronics). The role involves building strategies for new products and services that can complement millions of Samsung consumer devices. He is part of a nimble and experienced Silicon Valley team that works with the President of Samsung Research America by identifying and building strategies for the world's largest consumer electronics company.
Previously, Tomasz started a company in the wearable space and led its growth from an idea and three co-founders to 25 full-time employees with both offices in San Francisco and Warsaw (R&D). He ran Product and Partnerships and developed key relationships with major airlines such as Lufthansa, KLM, ANA; hotel providers such as Joie de vivre, Virgin; and professional institutions such as The National Sleep Foundation. Tomasz went through the first introduction of the product to early adopters to mass production and selling online and physical stores. in 2014, the company hit $1 million in revenue and is still growing. Through his professional achievements, Tomasz won the annual Johnson & Johnson Innovation Award.
Tomasz also taught entrepreneurship (BUS 182 "starting new ventures") at San Jose State University's College of Business, School of Global Innovation and Leadership. He was also a judge at the annual Silicon Valley Business Plan Competition (SVBPC).
